Diego Rey, born in Bariloche, Argentina and now based in San Francisco, holds a BS (UCSB) in electrical engineering and PhD (Cornell) in biomedical engineering minoring in applied engineering physics and biophysics. He co-founded GeneWEAVE (acquired by Roche) and Endpoint Health (W19) developing rapid bacterial detection and immune disease therapeutics. Diego was the first bio Visiting Partner at YC.
